Donations
The work of The Retreat is greatly enhanced by the donations we receive. Where possible, it is beneficial to The Retreat York if donations are by Gift Aid, for which forms are available from the Director of Finance.
Legacies and gifts
Gifts to The Retreat York, which is a registered charity, are generally exempt from Inheritance Tax. Prospective donors may find it prudent to seek professional advice.
Form of words to be used when making a bequest
I bequeath to The Retreat York the sum of £……………. free of all inheritance tax absolutely, and I declare that the receipt of the Chief Executive or other proper officer for the time being of the said Retreat shall be sufficient discharge of my Trustees.
