Statement of purpose and values
What we try to do and why
We aim to improve or maintain the mental health and quality of life of everyone who uses or provides our services, through care of the highest standard and quality. This reflects the tolerance, humanity and spiritual values of our Quaker roots.
We believe
- Everyone in our community is of equal value as a human.
- We listen to, value and respect the experience and contribution of everyone.
- We encourage everyone to develop or maintain his or her full potential and well-being.We try to be excellent in everything we do.
- We use honesty and openness to encourage a spirit of enquiry.
- We are open-minded about the treatments we use. We use treatments that fit our values and are proven to work. When we try new things we start from what we are good at and check the new approach works.
- We work to provide a safe physical and shared social environment for therapy and recovery.
- We work to keep the highest standards of professional and personal integrity.
